  • Usability issue with the "plugin is debugging this tab" infobar, vote for Chrome bug.

liveedit can't work in intellij idea 15.0.2, liveedit 2.0.21.143,chrome 50.xx, JetBrains IDE Support 2.0.9, spring boot project. Is it because of not use js debuger??? I just run application by right click "application.java" to debug.

Works fine in WebStorm, but not in IDEA. There are plenty of obvious differences in the console log in Chrome, but I have no idea how to pinpoint the problem. Please fix this so it works in IDEA, because I really don't want to run WebStorm along side it.

Works great in PhpStorm 6, cannot get it to work in any never version of PhpStorm no matter how much i troubleshoot. Please change it back so it works like it used to, with a simple "Live Edit" option in the View menu and no need to run js debug mode.

Amazing plugin! I tried to setup live edit with 2 browser at the same time but I can't make it work. Is it possible with the latest versions? I'm setting one browser to mobile with while the other to desktop width that's why I wanna set it up this way.

@kosiakk LiveEdit depends on JS Debugger, so, is not available for Community Edition.

My latest Idea Community Edition 13.0.1 says "Plugin LiveEdit is incompatible with current installation" if I try to install in manually. It doesn't show in Plugin List from within Idea itself either. Is it limited to Ultimate Edition? Or I am doing something wrong?

@tgienger I think it is possible, please open issue http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/dashboard#newissue=yes and attach test project.

This is an awesome plugin. The only question I have, is it possible to get this working with django? I can live edit anything on the "base.html" but any page that extends it doesn't go through. Would be amazing if this could work.

flak@dinenno.com Also, you can try latest plugin version (IDEA 13 required, http://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/IDEADEV/IDEA+13+EAP) Recently, we improved error checking (don't hot swap script if latest changes is not correct).

flak@dinenno.com Could you please report about it here http://youtrack.jetbrains.com — attach test project. We can check and avoid "to refresh while variables aren't defined or have improper values" Right now we check just for syntax errors.

works seemlessly. cuts dev time significantly by not having to constantly reload page. I'd suggest turning it off if you're going to do any major back-end/Rails or Javascript as the reload might be slightly longer due to code interpretation/processing and you hit errors as you are mid-statement and the LiveEdit decides to refresh while variables aren't defined or have improper values.
