Auto-package plugin performs live (background) packaging of web content files during development. It works for all web facets in a project. This plugin seems more functional then existing solution in IDEA.

Excellent, this works great in v10. This plugin in contrast to the built in version does only updates files which has changed (which is critical when using maven-filtering to set variables in e.g., html files).

If the installation fails, just uninstall previous version and then install new one.

Yes, it is not (yet) upgraded to idea9. However, it seems that IDEA9 doesn't need that anymore - just check the Run dalog of your server (e.g. Tomcat) where you have an option to update resources on frame deactivation, as well as new hotkey for recource upgrade. I was also talking to IDEA developers, and they explained me that this is how this should be done, not in my way;)

If you still think that I should release new version, please let me know and I will.

Essential! Thanks so much for this... Can't believe it's not a standard feature of IDEA.

Regarding the last post as It\'s running on 7.0.x-version of Idea the version the plugin manager installs is 1.15.

So probably the 7.x-version of the plugin needs a recompile to work with

For now only web facets are autopackaged.

The next thing will be autopackaging of non-java files from src folders: propertie files (e.g. for i18n), images etc...

I do not much of groovy, but, why not to add this feature as well, after;)
