Description:

Allows to easily browse next/previous word at caret and highlight other appearances of selected word.

Usage: Browse with CTRL-ALT-UP, CTRL-ALT-DOWN (note: on default-keymap this shortcut is also for next/previous occurrence).

Could someone explain me usecases for this plugin? When words are highlighted - what can I do with them? Okay, I can navigate through them, but what else?

IDEA 'Highlight usages of element at caret' is element/reference based and AFAIK without navigation. BrowseWordAtCaret is word based (without context to any reference, just the word under caret). It also works in any window (ex Debug Output). So instead of selecting a word and perform a find you just navigate with Ctrl&Alt Up/Down.

FYI, "Highlight other appearances of selected word" is available in IDEA via Settings | Editor | Highlight usages of element at caret.

The plugin is not compatible with PyCharm. Could you please please please fix it.

The plugin is not compatible with the beta version of Idea X! Can you make this plugin compatible?
