Hi Carsten, Sorry, but the code is not available and there are no plans to backport the plugin for IntelliJ IDEA 11. Sorry again.

Hi! Is there any chance to make this plugin work with Intellij IDEA 11? If source code is available I may even try it on my own. Thanks for your work! Carsten

It's too little information to find out the cause. Generally, just make sure that the command line constructed by File Watchers is correct. If it's unclear or you found a bug, please file an issue in the http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/WEB#newissue=yes (subsystem: File Watchers).

I'm having the following error when update the file "Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory @ rb_sysopen" Can you help me?

There are no known issues with OS X Mavericks. Please make sure your "File type" and "Scope" fields target your watched file. If it didn't help, please file an issue in the http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/WEB#newissue=yes (Subsystem: File Watchers)

Anyone using this plugin with OS X Mavericks? I can't get it to do anything. This is with IJ 13.1.3. I've configured an scss file watcher with the same parameters as my linux-using coworkers. I've set "Show console" to "Always", which I assume means an IJ console will appear when the plugin is running. But when I edit a watched file, nothing happens. No console, and no new css file is generated. Wondering if something has changed in Mavericks to the native file system watcher to make this plugin inoperative. Would appreciate confirmation from another OS X Mavericks user and/or troubleshooting tips. Thanks!

Module related macros will work in IntelliJ IDEA 13. Right now you can try
IDEA 13 EAP.

Macros related to module($ModuleFileDir$, $ModuleName$, etc) do not work for me. I'm using version 129.85 plugin on IntteliJ 12.1.6. For example, $ProjectFileDir$/modules/$ModuleName$/public/stylesheets/$FileNameWithoutExtension$.css produces /path/to/project/modules//public/stylesheets/foo.css

Fixed version of the plugin is uploaded to the Plugin Repository. Update "File Watchers" plugin.

Plugin doesn't work with IDEA 13 Ultimate EAP 132.425. Getting: 11:40:29 PM PicoPluginExtensionInitializationException: class com.intellij.lang.javascript.watcher.TypeScriptDependencyFinder has interface com.intellij.plugins.watcher.config.FileDependencyFinder as super class [Plugin: JavaScript]: class com.intellij.lang.javascript.watcher.TypeScriptDependencyFinder has interface com.intellij.plugins.watcher.config.FileDependencyFinder as super class [Plugin: JavaScript]

Had same problem. It's a bug. First check that you've specified PATH in Settings>FileWatchers>[SASS]>EnvironmentVariables. I entered PATH=/home/user/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p247/bin:/home/user/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p247@global/bin:/home/user/.rvm/rubies/ruby-2.0.0-p247/bin:/home/user/.rvm/bin Then o to Settings>Plugins deactivate FileWatchers plugin and then reactivate it. For me it helped. :)

I have the same issue reported by mickeyvip. It tries to search for sass in my system ruby instead of my rvm ruby. But I put the path to the rvm ruby. How should I configure that correctly?? /Users/iraquitanfilho/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p195/bin/sass --no-cache --update style.sass:style.css /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:777:in `report_activate_error': Could not find RubyGem sass (>= 0) (Gem::LoadError) from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:211:in `activate' from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:1056:in `gem' from /Users/iraquitanfilho/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p195/bin/sass:22 from /Users/iraquitanfilho/.rvm/gems/ruby-2.0.0-p195/bin/ruby_noexec_wrapper:14

I have a problem with SASS/SCSS files. I'm on MAC OSX 10.8.3, IntelliJ 12.1.3. I have Ruby 1.9.3p194 installed and set as default in rvm. Every time IntelliJ is trying to compile SASS/SCSS files it gets an exception: /Users/michaelv/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p194/bin/scss --no-cache --update test.scss:test.css /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:777:in `report_activate_error': Could not find RubyGem sass (>= 0) (Gem::LoadError) from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:211:in `activate' from /System/Library/Frameworks/Ruby.framework/Versions/1.8/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:1056:in `gem' from /Users/michaelv/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p194/bin/scss:18 from /Users/michaelv/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p194/bin/ruby_noexec_wrapper:14 should it get to the OSX's Ruby 1.8 at all? Thanks

If you want split an absolute path to a file you can use parametrized macros. Example: $FileParentDir(src)$/src/$FileDirPathFromParent(src)$
26.05.2013
It would be very handy to be able to configure the watcher to handle "src" and "dest" folders while preserving tree folder structure. For example: CoffeeScripts location: $ProjectDir$/coffee/ JavaScripts location: $ProjectDir$/javascripts/ and I have this folder structure: $ProjectDir$/coffee/1.coffee $ProjectDir$/coffee/common/1-common.coffee $ProjectDir$/coffee/common/strings/1-common-strings.coffee then the compiled files will be: $ProjectDir$/javascripts/1.js $ProjectDir$/javascripts/common/1-common.js $ProjectDir$/javascripts/common/strings/1-common-strings.js Thus I can isolate "coffee" sources from javascripts Thank you
