Connects with local models via ollama, handles them fairly well, though sometimes gets stuck and retries the same task a few times and complains that the task could not be completed after successfully completing the task, but this may be the model or ollama.

\n

Has useful planning, code, and debug modes which is quite helpful.

\n

Integrates well enough with the IDE and can usually manage files without much issue.

\n

Can adjust context sizes to let you fine tune your models based on your hardware, though would be nice if it remembered the setting for each model.

\n

Primarily use Qwen3.5 9b on a 24GB card with this plugin.

UPDATE AFTER TRYING v7

Briefly tested v7... HOLY SH** that version sucks! Don't \"upgrade\" to 7, stay on 5! @Dev, did you manage to make your plugin completely unusable or do I just not know how to use it? Before I could just add ollama as a provider and everything just worked. With v7 the only option for ollama is to enter a key; I don't have a key! I have localhost:11434! Even manually entering that doesn't do jack.

The default model selection now lists 5 million models; I don't have 5 million models installed, I only have a couple! Why the fu** isn't it using my local models?!?

Just moved over from Proxy AI as development there has stagnated and this does the trick. Love that I can use it here and also VSCode and CLI.

The truth is, they will tell you this is \"model dependent\" but these guys are sucking context until the kickback pocket book is full. You can ask a simple task. \"Put a button here\" from personal experimenting, it might be 5 seconds or 5 minutes and still spinning. Regardless of model. They are spinning up the context for profit. When it is kicking it is great. But truly the fix is on and the profits are rolling in.

It's not just these guys but Devin, Claude Code, JB plugins, it doesn't matter. They are printing money.... yours.

I can no longer use this plugin inside intellij. After the update to the version 7, this plugin takes an infinite time reasoning about what to do.

I really want to like it. The kilo harness is extremely powerful once integrated with the Jetbrains MCP server in intellij.

However, it feels like pre-beta software at this point.

\n

The most annoying is that permission settings don't seem to be applied consistently. It regularly asks for permission to write to a file in the current directory even though the permission is set to \"allow\", (it works once I check the box to allow in the future, but the problem re-appears once the plugin IDE is restarted)

\n

If multiple subsequent tool-calls require permissions the permission popup only occurs for the first one (maybe two), and the other ones hang while it says \"Considering next steps...\". The only way to fix this is by briefly clicking the shield to allow all permissions and then turning it back off again.

\n

This is especially painful with subagents, because it's impossible to view the requested shell commands or other tool calls from within the agents.

\n

Diffs are also impossible to see until AFTER the edit is approved, which defeats the purpose.

\n

Bugs like this just aren't acceptable for a production release, and leaves me concerned that tool calls will get mistakenly approved when I didn't intend to do so.

1、When using the @file syntax in JetBrains, I'm not used to having the file path first and the filename last. It would be better to keep it consistent with VS Code, which supports adding code blocks via add and using @file references.

2、When used in an internal network environment, it often prompts to go online to download and install ripgrep. For internal network usage of JetBrains, please provide a full offline package.

3、Restarting VS Code does not successfully load Superpowers; you need to manually click the reload button. On JetBrains, Superpowers also fails to load related commands or skills properly.

4、After making changes in JetBrains, the file comparison view is not convenient for reviewing when there are many changes.

之前的V5版本有很多问题以及底层根本问题，现在使用V7版本感觉很强大，V7主要将底层roo code换成了open code，支持多个 AI 代理，官方目前正在过渡阶段，界面比较简单并且还有些小问题，但不影响使用，希望官方继续优化，期待更强大的kilo code，感谢。

Same as the other commenters, extremely disappointed with the v7 update. Using a custom provider endpoint is an extreme hassle, there is only a fraction of the settings and customizability there used to be, all my old configurations were deleted, it's just unusable now

Huge downgrade when upgraded to v7. No conversation migration, poor settings panel, no editor integration, bad ui. And it doesn't share conversation history with VSCode plugin. How can this be an official upgrade? Just roll it back to EAP

The v5 was a brilliant in the current world of vibecoding - UI was the best in the class. v7 version lost all advantages of the previous version and, also, lost deeper integration with the context inside the editor.
