Grep Console
for PhpStorm

Compatible with all products except MPS
317 615
Allows you to define a series of regular expressions which will be tested against the console output or file. Each expression matching a line will affect the style of the entire line, or play a sound. For example, error messages could be set to show up with a red background.

Additional Features:
Filter/grep the console output into a new console tab
ANSI colouring
File Tailing:
- Main menu | Tools | Open File in Console
- Main Menu | Help | Tail (IntelliJ) Log in Console
- Project View ToolWindow | right click context menu | Tail
- Drag&Drop "Tail File" panel in main toolbar
- http and Windows context menu integration

Inspired by Grep Console plugin for Eclipse and Ansi Console plugin for Eclipse.
Used Remote call plugin implementation for http integration.

@radutoader: There is no UI blocking anymore! The new version of IntelliJ started to execute console filters (among which is GrepConsole) in the background and the delay between the text and the color is exactly the result of that. There are also some new performance bugs in IntelliJ console itself - none of it has anything to do with this plugin. And even if there was some problem, you could have simply reported a bug and have it fixed...
I had tried it and it seems that it blocks UI when you start application, sometimes the styling is applied in slow motion, I see logged line, then after a few seconds it gets colored. I think there is more to be improved, I personally like very much the ideea and I used it a lot, but today I uninstalled it and my intelli j works really fast.
Love it and works like a charm :) I use it with AppCode which makes iOS development ... tolerable ;)
Would it be possible to also enable this plugin for the Analyze > Analyze Stacktrace view?
@crummy Yes.
Very useful! One question - is there a way to exclude lines that match a pattern from appearing in the output?
Thank you very much for this! Great plugin.
this should really be part of intellij as standard
Dosen't work in 15.0.2 version :(. Will there be an update to support this version?
One feature request: would be great if it had a toolbar to dynamically provide an expression or search term to color and/or filter the console output (currently you can provide only static configuration)
Get it. Use it. Love it. That's all there is to it. This plug-in will greatly improve your productivity and workflow. Period.
It is compatible, I can see it and you should see it, try refresh or something.
is it work in 13.1.4 ? i can't find plugin GrepConsole. intellij in Browse JetBrains plugins think
Main Menu | Tools | Grep Highlight Editor
is there an option to highlight the files open in editor - as opposed to console? Somehow I managed to, but cannot reproduce this now (IDEA 13.1.4).
