Thanks a lot for reporting the problem, I uploaded new version 0.2.4 beta.
Plugin stopped working in WebStorm 9 (even the latest plugin version 0.2.3 beta): java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.intellij.openapi.compiler.CompilationStatusAdapter PluginClassLoader[CodeHistoryMining, 0.2.3 beta] at com.intellij.ide.plugins.cl.PluginClassLoader.loadClass(PluginClassLoader.java:68)
The problem was that jar file was downloaded to the wrong folder. This should be fixed in the latest version.
Unfortunately I'm still unable to use the plugin. The problem now is that it still says I don't have the Groovy libraries. However I installed them before, I've attempted to install them several times again and it still says that they aren't in the class path.
The problem with VCS roots should be fixed in latest version.
I was able to install this and add in the required Groovy files. However when I click the "Grab Project History" option, it tells me that there are no VCS roots for the project. I've tried this one two projects, both using GIT and that have VCS roots. Both give the same error. Not sure what to try next? Looks pretty nice though, hope I can get it working!
The error is probably because of missing groovy.jar on IDE classpath. Should be fixed in latest version.
I get the following error at startup: Plugin CodeHistoryMining failed to initialize and will be disabled: groovy/lang/Script
